Who We Are
The Bering Strait/Norton Sound region entities: Bering Straits Native Corporation, Kawerak Inc., Nome Eskimo Community, Norton Sound Economic Development Corporation, Norton Sound Health Corporation, and SNC Trust (Sitnasuak Native Corporation) work together to create a streamlined platform for beneficiaries to apply for scholarships and seek guidance to help develop their educational and career goals.
What We Do
We believe education shouldn’t stop at high school and we want to help you take the next step.
Through MyCache, we provide you with a way to apply for multiple scholarships offered to the people of the Bering Strait/Norton Sound region. You can use the money provided by the scholarships to pay for college, technical or vocational training.
Who We Serve
Bering Strait/Norton Sound region residents as well as tribal members, Bering Straits Native Corporation and SNC Trust Beneficiaries, Shareholder Lineal Descendants and Trust Beneficiaries who are attending post-secondary education and/or trade programs.

Kawerak’s Higher Education department is excited to announce we are recruiting for Peer Mentors and Peer Mentees to participate in the Peer Mentoring Program during the 2024-2025 academic year.
BSNC is helping prepare tomorrow’s leaders for the workforce by providing paid internships and professional development training each summer to qualified shareholder and descendant students enrolled in college or technical school. Shareholders and descendants can gain valuable work experience and skills by working with staff in their professional area of interest.
