Combined Application for College & Higher Education

Kawerak Higher Education, 2024-2025 Peer Mentoring Program

Kawerak’s Higher Education department is excited to announce we are recruiting for Peer Mentors and Peer Mentees to participate in the Peer Mentoring Program during the 2024-2025 academic year.

The program is designed to pair a third- or fourth-year student as a mentor to a first- or second-year student as a mentee. Peer mentors are trained to provide support services, offer resources, and help the incoming students (mentees) adjust to life in college.

Students eligible to participate in the Peer Mentoring Program are Kawerak scholarship recipients enrolled in a degree program at the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) or the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) and living in the community where their school is located.

Peer Mentor applications due April 26. Peer Mentee applications due July 1.
